Stacie Mitchell-Gweah Announces Resignation as Principal of Lafayette County School District

Lafayette County, Arkansas – June 2024 – After two years of dedicated service to the Lafayette County School District (LCSD), I, Principal Stacie Mitchell-Gweah Ed.S, am announcing my resignation effective June 2024. While it is bittersweet to leave my position as principal, I am excited to devote more time to my role as Mayor of Stamps, Arkansas, where I will continue to work on improving our community.

Serving LCSD has been an incredible journey. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead our educators and work with our amazing students and supportive families.

In my role as Mayor of Stamps, I will continue to focus on driving initiatives that enhance the quality of life for all residents. My dedication to education and community development will guide my efforts in creating opportunities for growth, economic development, and improved public services. I aim to implement programs that support local businesses, enhance infrastructure, and foster a strong sense of community.

Thank you and I look forward to remaining connected with the LCSD community and continuing to inspire and empower our future leaders through my work as Mayor.

Warm regards,
